Dr. Jenna Walburn

Dr. Jenna Walburn grew up in Tennessee and Texas. She attended Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Glendale, Arizona and received her degree of Doctor of Dental Medicine in 2012. After dental school, she continued her education at Saint Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri for her orthodontic residency. She had the privilege to learn from her father, Dr. Rolf (“Buzz”) Behrents, an orthodontic educator and the editor of the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. During her residency, she completed a one-year fellowship at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital focused on multi-disciplinary treatment of pediatric patients with cleft lip and palate. Dr. Jenna received a Certificate of Orthodontics and a Master of Science in Dentistry in 2016. She is a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontics, Midwestern Society of Orthodontics and the Orthodontic Education and Research Foundation. She has volunteered for many years for Give Kids A Smile, providing free dental care and education for underserved children. Dr. Jenna is fortunate to serve as the orthodontist on the Cleft Lip/Cleft Palate Clinical Team at The University of Kansas Medical Center. Dr. Jenna works with the team to treat patients with many craniofacial abnormalities including cleft lip and palate.

Dr. Jenna loves getting to know her patients and seeing their smiles change. When Dr. Jenna isn’t in the office she spends time with her husband, Josh, and her children, Madeleine and Atticus. Dr. Jenna and her family love taking bike rides in their neighborhood, playing soccer, and cheering on their teams: the Sporting KC, KC Chiefs and St. Louis Blues.
